Why Consign with Public Sale?
Simple process: We handle all consignment requests in a timely manner via email/online form. Please send clear photos of the item(s) you would like to consign (or fill out the form below) along with any pertinent information about the item(s), your address, contact info, and your pick-up/drop-off preferences and availability.
Thorough cleaning: Once we have obtained your item(s), our crew will bring them up to a reasonable standard of cleanliness. We have chemicals and tools that are formulated specifically for each material we encounter. We never remove original labels or correct desirable patina.
Professional photography: We use high-quality, professional-grade lighting, backgrounds, cameras, and techniques to ensure your item(s) are represented accurately and fairly in our online listings.
Accurate listings: Public Sale is in the 90-100th percentile for accuracy amongst LiveAuctioneers sellers. All of the items we sell are thoroughly researched, measured, and inspected before they go on sale.
Large audience: By representing items on four online platforms, as well as offering a weeklong in-house preview, in-house phone and absentee bids, and advertising in relevant publications, Public Sale maintains a large and engaged bidding audience, which results in price-inflating bidding wars. Your item(s) will receive sufficient exposure both before and during the auction.
Simple, transparent payments: Consignors receive payments in the form of a check mailed to a previously agreed upon delivery address with a simple but thorough breakdown of the price realized for all items sold, along with the commission percentage and amount due.
How to Consign with Public Sale:
1) Send an email to auction@publicsale.com (or fill out the form below) with photos of the item(s) you would like to consign and any pertinent information.
2) Arrange to drop off your item(s) or have them picked up.
3) Public Sale will clean, photograph, measure, and catalog your item(s).
4) Public Sale will sell your item(s) in a no-reserve auction.
5) You will receive a check in the mail within 30 days of the sale of your item(s).
