Ezra Fitch Estate

A number of the items in our upcoming auction, titled Beauty and the Beast, came from Ezra Fitch’s childhood estate.

Ezra Fitch was the cofounder of Abercrombie & Fitch, the iconic lifestyle clothing brand that was started by David T. Abercrombie. Ezra was born on September 27th, 1865 in Coxsackie, New York. He spent his childhood at the estate that his grandfather built around 1850. The estate has a Gothic-style mansion with beautiful, high-pitched gable roofs. Many of the shutters that were on that home are in this upcoming sale. We are also fortunate to have several Victorian mirrors (Lots: 231, 236, 324, and 366) in this sale that came from Fitch’s estate.
